Frequently Asked

Questions

What should I wear?
The most important thing is to wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident in your yoga practice. It is a good idea to wear clothes you can move freely in and layers can be helpful so you can add or take away layers as we move through the class. Bare feet are recommended or you can also wear grippy socks if this is more comfortable for you.

Do I need to be flexible?
Absolutely NOT! Yoga is a practice that helps improve flexibility, strength and balance over time. It is accessible to people of all fitness types and abilities.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
I have a selection of yoga mats you can use if you are not ready to invest in a mat of your own. If you do decide to buy your own, I have a small selection of good quality mats you can buy or I can give you some advice to follow when making a purchase

What if I can’t do all the poses or need modifications?
It is perfectly normal, even the most experienced yogi will have poses they can’t do! Listen to your body, yoga is about finding what is right for you in the present moment.

Can I attend a yoga class if I have an injury or medical condition?
It's important to consult with your healthcare provider before attending a yoga class if you have any injuries or medical conditions. They can provide guidance on what types of yoga and modifications are suitable for your specific situation
